
Service Announcement: DeCard Card Replacement Exercise
Following the security incident on 19 February involving unauthorised access to certain customer data, DeCard has implemented additional safeguards and continues to monitor accounts closely.
Following the security incident on 19 February involving unauthorised access to certain customer data, DeCard has implemented additional safeguards and continues to monitor accounts closely.
As an additional precautionary measure, and in line with guidance from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), DeCard will be conducting a structured card replacement exercise for affected customers.
What customers need to do
Affected customers will be prompted to log in to the DeCard app to confirm their card replacement preference.
You may choose to:
- Replace your card with a new one, or
- Retain your existing card
To view this prompt, please refresh or update your DeCard app.
If no action is taken
If no response is received within 6 weeks of the initial notification, your card will be replaced automatically as part of the precautionary exercise.
Inactive cards
For cards that have been inactive for 60 days or more, the card will be cancelled and will not be replaced automatically.
Customers may request a replacement card at no cost within the next 12 months should they wish to resume using their DeCard.
Account security
Your DeCard account remains fully operational. There is currently no evidence of unauthorised transactions, and there is no indication that passwords, card PINs, payment authentication credentials, or card security codes (CVV) were accessed.
DeCard continues to monitor accounts closely and has implemented additional safeguards following the incident.
